It’s yet another fnf Friday and after a long break, it’s good to be back. We all love a good smoothie. Be it carrying it when going to work, school and the gym or taking it in the comfort of your home. Today we will be learning how to make a healthy and delicious smoothie that is one of my favourites. Anytime “healthy” smoothie is mentioned, we tend to think it’s bitter and not appealing I have previously fallen victim a couple of times but it doesn’t have to be unappealing. 

Today’s recipe is a quick one which is full of flavour and nutrients and is a good breakfast item to kickstart your day or have it any other time of the day. All ingredients can be easily purchased at your local market or supermarkets.

INGREDIENTS 

  1. 1 cup cubed peeled ripe mango
  2. 1 medium-sized ripe banana
  3. ⅔ cup  milk
  4. 1 teaspoon honey
  5. ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Freeze the cubed mango overnight in an airtight container to make this smoothie thicker.
  2. Place frozen mango, banana, milk, honey and vanilla extract in a blender. 
  3. Process until smooth.
  4. Serve as desired and enjoy.
